FREE Sprinting and Plyometrics Seminar

Run Faster. Move Better. Build More Power.

Join us for a FREE 90-Minute Speed & Plyometric Seminar at Fit Lab on Saturday, September 26th at 9:30am

You don’t have to be a competitive runner to benefit from learning how to run well.

Speed and plyometric training are valuable for anyone who wants to improve coordination, power, agility, body awareness, and overall athleticism. Whether you’re looking to run faster, jump higher, move more efficiently in your workouts, or simply learn a new skill, this 90-minute seminar will give you the tools to do it.

During the seminar, we’ll break down the fundamentals of sprinting and plyometric training and teach you how to use your body more effectively when producing and absorbing force.

What We’ll Cover

We’ll start with the basics and build from there, making this session approachable for all fitness levels.

You’ll learn:

  • Why speed and plyometric training are beneficial for everyone
  • The different types of plyometric training, from slower introductory movements to maximum-speed efforts
  • How to perform foundational sprint drills such as A-skips and high knees
  • The basic mechanics of efficient sprinting and running
  • How coordination, posture, arm action, and leg drive work together
  • How to produce and absorb force more effectively
  • How sprint and plyometric training can complement your current strength and conditioning

By the end of the session, you’ll have practiced basic sprint drills and should feel more confident performing them correctly. More importantly, you’ll have a better understanding of how to apply these skills to your training.

Why Train Speed and Plyometrics?

Turn strength into power.
Strength training teaches your body to produce force. Plyometric training teaches you to produce that force quickly.

Improve speed and jumping ability.
Sprint and jump training develop your ability to rapidly produce and release force, helping you become faster and more explosive.

Build agility and quickness.
Fast, controlled movements challenge your ability to accelerate, decelerate, and change direction.

Improve coordination and body awareness.
Sprint drills require your nervous system to coordinate your entire body efficiently. Better coordination means better control of your movement.

Learn better landing and force-absorption mechanics.
Learning how to properly absorb force can help prepare your muscles, joints, and tendons for the demands of jumping, sprinting, and other explosive movements.

Run more efficiently.
Good sprint mechanics aren’t just about running fast. Efficient movement can help you conserve energy and improve your ability to run longer and perform better.

Meet Your Coach

Your seminar will be led by a former Division I Track & Field athlete with a lifelong passion for sprinting and jumping.

Originally from Palm Springs, California, our coach competed in Division I Track & Field while studying Philosophy at Sacramento State. They’ve been competing in track and field since age 14 and continue to compete in USATF Masters meets today.

After college, they spent two years in Colorado volunteering with local track and field teams. Sprinting and jumping remain their favorite disciplines, and they love continuing to learn about the sport and, even more, helping other people experience that moment when a movement finally clicks.

Who Is This For?

Everyone.

You don’t need to be a runner. You don’t need to be fast. And you definitely don’t need to show up already knowing how to sprint.

This seminar is designed for Fit Lab members who want to improve their movement, coordination, power, and athletic ability.

Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or someone trying sprint drills for the first time, we’ll meet you where you are and build from there.
