FIT LAB STUDIOS BARBELL

Whether you want to learn the fundamentals of the snatch and clean and jerk, or get eyes on your training for your first powerlifting meet, our Barbell Club program is designed to get you strong.

Our team is led by an Advanced Sports Performance Coach (USA Weightlifting Level 2) with extensive experience in Olympic weightlifting. Each class has personalized guidance to help you perfect your technique, increase your strength, and achieve new personal bests, regardless of your experience level.

At FitLab Studios, we pride ourselves on fostering a supportive community. Athletes of all levels are welcomed and encouraged by peers and coaches alike. This inclusive environment helps to motivate and inspire our members, creating a unique and enriching experience for everyone.

Barbell classes are Tuesday & Thursday from 6:30pm-8:30pm, and Saturday & Sunday 11am-1pm.

SPRING FLING LIFT OFF

SATURDAY, APRIL 19th

The Spring Fling Lift Off is an open competition, a USAW membership is not required! All levels are welcome; singlets are not required, and day-of registration will be available. We want this to be a fun event where you lift weights, make friends, and maybe hit a new PR! As long as the weight gets overhead safely, it counts!

Fit Lab is located behind Tobacco Wood Brew Pub, with free and plentiful parking. When athletes arrive at the front desk they will be directed to weigh-in, and shown the warm up area.

Athletes will get 4 attempts for the Snatch and Clean and Jerk. The 1st attempt is intended to be a lighter, get-on-the-board-styled lift, with the next three attempts for fun. Weigh-ins start at 9am and run through 10am; you can expect to start lifting by 10:15 am. We will run 2 platforms alternating between male and female platforms. This will follow typical meet standards: once the weight is on the bar, it won't go down.

Now for two important questions:

1. Costumes are welcome!

2. Bring your cheering Squad! Spectators are welcome!

This is a fun, no-pressure opportunity for anyone looking to try competing for the first time! Awards for the top 3 in the men’s and women’s categories will be based on Sinclair. It costs $40 for Fit Lab members and $50 for non-members.
