Growing up Bree ran competitively but after high school bounced between various gyms and routines. After a physical therapist and avid Cross Trainingter insisted that the functional movements of Cross Training would improve his overall health and fitness he gave Cross Training a try and immediately fell in love. Bree started coaching Cross Training in 2014 and enjoys the community atmosphere of Cross Training and its ability to push everyone to their fitness goals.
Cross Training’s evidence based approach to curing and delaying sickness through fitness aligns with Bree’s academic interests of understanding global processes that contribute to heath and lifespan. He earned a BS in Biology from The Ohio State University and a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from Baylor College of Medicine for his work investigating the molecular mechanisms of diet and longevity. Before opening Fit Lab with his business partner Casey Rush, Bree worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center examining the molecular pathways for various age related diseases.
